Weather

Saddle shows the weather at your barn, so you can plan turnout, rides, and blanketing without leaving the app. The Weather tile sits on your barn's home screen in the Barn tab — it shows the current temperature and conditions at a glance, and tapping it opens the full forecast.

Check current conditions

  1. Open the Barn tab.
  2. Find the Weather tile. It shows the current temperature, a drawing of the conditions (sun, moon and stars, rain, or storm), and — if you keep horses at this barn — one of your horses standing in the paddock wearing tonight's recommended blanket.
  3. Tap the tile to open the full forecast.

The forecast opens with a large hero view: the current temperature, the conditions, today's high and low (shown as H: and L:), and your barn's location.

See the hourly forecast

If you're on the Pro plan (see Account and profile), the forecast includes an hourly section: a flowing temperature curve for the next 24 hours, starting at Now, so you can see when the day peaks and when it cools off. Hour labels follow your time format preference (12-hour or 24-hour).

See the daily forecast

Every forecast includes a multi-day outlook. Each day shows:

Weather alerts

When a weather alert is active for your barn's area — a storm warning, for example — a warning badge appears under the current conditions in the forecast. It shows the most severe alert, with a +N count if more than one alert is active.

Blanket guidance

The forecast includes a blanket card that connects the weather to your horses:

See Blankets for setting up wardrobes and thresholds.

Change your temperature units

Weather follows your Units preference (Fahrenheit or Celsius) and your time format — set both from the Profile tab; see Account and profile. Every weather surface updates immediately when you switch.
