Events

Events are your barn's shared calendar — lessons, shows, social days, and group trail rides with a live map. Open your events from the events tile on the Barn tab, from My Events on your Profile, or from the Events shortcut on the Ride tab. Everything works offline: events you create or change save on your phone and upload automatically when you're back online.

Browse your events

Your events all live in one list: your barns' events, your personal events, and events from other barns that you joined or saved. Each row shows which barn it belongs to (or "Private" for personal events).

Create an event

  1. Tap New Event at the bottom of the events list.
  2. Give the event a name, then fill in the rest from the review screen:
    • Date, Starts, and Ends — set right on the page.
    • Barn calendar — put it on one of your barns' calendars, or keep it personal.
    • Who can join? — barn events default to Barn members; choose Anyone with link to let guests join through the invite QR or link. Personal events are always open-invite.
    • Trail route — attach a saved route from your trails (yours or your barn's) to make it a trail ride event with a live map.
    • A meetup location and a description.
  3. Tap Publish event. The event opens with a small celebration once it's saved — if you're offline, it uploads the next time you're connected.

RSVP to an event

Open the event and use the two pills at the bottom: Going or Can't go. Tap your answer again to clear it. The going count updates right away.

Below the pills, the calendar row shows whether the event is on your calendar:

Invite people to an event

If an event allows guests (or is personal), the event's creator sees a share button next to the event's name. It opens a ticket-style invite: a date tile, the event's name and time, and a QR code with Scan to RSVP underneath. Tap the share button on the ticket to send the invite link.

People who scan the QR or open the link get a preview with the date, time, and going count — and one tap to RSVP, or RSVP and join the ride if it's already underway. Friends without the app see a web preview of the event first.

Join a live trail ride

Events with a route attached get a live map. Starting 15 minutes before the event begins:

Once you've joined:

Follow a route without joining

Don't want to be on the live map? Open the event and tap Follow route — it arms the event's route for navigation on your own ride. You get turn-by-turn route following, but you're not joined: nobody sees you, and your ride stays a normal personal ride. This works even before the join window opens and on past events.

Who can see my location?

Watch the replay

Once a trail ride event ends, its page shows the attendance record — how many went and how many rides were shared. If riders posted rides with routes, tap Watch the replay to play a timelapse of the ride: everyone's tracks animate across the map together, with play/pause and a scrubber to jump around.

If you rode but haven't shared, the event page nudges you with Post your ride to this event.

Edit an event

If you created the event and it hasn't started yet, open it and tap Edit event in the actions list (or long-press it in the events list). Each field saves as you change it — name, description, date and times — so there's no separate save step. Editing locks once the event starts.

Leave an event

Joined the live map but changed your mind? Tap Leave live map on the event page or in the lobby. Leaving only takes you off the live map — your RSVP isn't changed, and the event stays in your list.
